If you’re seeking a comfortable everyday T-shirt, our Rannell Hemp & Cotton Tee is the perfect solution. Ticking boxes in both comfort, design and sustainability the Rannell Tee is crafted from one of our, preferred, organic fabrics with a textured slub finish in a thicker weighted fabric for opaque confidence. We challenge you to find ways you can’t wear this style – the neckline is great to wear underneath a stylish knit, while the relaxed fit maintains comfort and is easy to tuck into pants and skirts – simply finish off with a statement necklace like our Petal Necklace for a sophisticated yet effortless ensemble.
55% Hemp, 45% Cotton (Organic)
Made from a sustainable organic cotton and hemp blend creating a soft to the touch jersey fabrication with a natural slub texture. This fabric is cool, comfortable and breathable to wear. Certified organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, hazardous pesticides or genetically engineered seed, which protects biodiversity and waterways and builds and maintains soil fertility.
Hemp has a beautiful, natural texture similar to linen. Modern production techniques result in a hemp fibre that is soft while still very strong and durable. Hemp requires minimal water, fertilisers or pesticides to grow, making it a more environmentally responsible option. This hemp is grown directly by the fabric mill, Hemp Fortex, and processed using a natural retting process to soften the stems of the hemp plant without the use of chemicals.
The fibres in this blend are naturally renewable and biodegradable.
This garment was made by Hemp Fortex, who we have been working with since 2019. They were founded in 1999 and have their head office in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China and manufacturing at their Rushan Factory in Weihei, China.
They are a vertically integrated manufacturer and converter which allows them full transparency and stewardship over every part of the process. They work primarily with hemp which they grow themselves, as well as organic cotton, recycled polyester and Tencel.
Alongside their focus on providing good working conditions, they are also demonstrating a commitment to the environment by producing 70%~100% of their electricity onsite by solar. They only use EU approved dyes and chemicals in the dyeing and finishing and carefully monitor and control wastewater.
They are members of the Fair Wear Foundation and WRAP accredited and completed the Sustainable Apparel Coalition HIGG factory modules in 2016.
